Le Rotaie is a rosé wine produced from Susumaniello grapes that takes its name from the location of the vines that are crossed from north to south by the local railway. The rosé “Le Rotaie” is presented in the glass of a delicate and elegant rose both in color and in perfume, giving intense floral scents with hints of rose and strawberry. Soft, fresh and persistent on the palate, it is a wine that can be served and enjoyed throughout the meal, from appetizers to main courses of meat, fish or pizza.
The grapes are produced with vines placed on calcareous clay soils and with the system of cultivation with espalier and spurred cordon. The grapes are harvested in the first ten days of October, are picked and selected manually. The vinification is carried out by destemming and soft pressing of the grapes, must clarification of the must, fermentation at low temperature and the refining takes place in steel for 5 months and in the bottle for 1 month.
