Espra is a rosé produced from negroamaro grapes grown in the countryside of Guagnano on calcareous and clayey soils of medium texture ideal for the production of the famous Salentino grape. This rosé wine that spends 12 hours to macerate in the must, represents all the characteristics that the real Rosé of Salentino breed must possess.Color pink coral, with very light orange reflections typical of Negroamaro, bright, lively, with complex and delicate aromas and a freshness , a sapidity and an acidity that make it drinkable and pleasant in the mouth. An extremely balanced rosé with a good structure and body.
The grapes grown in espalier with a density of 4500 plants per hectare are harvested manually in the first ten days of September, collected in boxes and brought to the cellar for destemming, followed by a soft pressing with which only 40% of the must is collected flower which will then be fermented at a temperature of 10°C. Once the fermentation is over, it is left to rest in stainless steel tanks and then bottled.
