Teresa Manara is a wine Made from Negroamaro grapes grown on espalier with spurred cordon and sapling in the territory of Guagnano (Lecce). The name of this wine derives from the homage that his son Augusto Cantele wanted to make to Mother Teresa Manara a strong and proud woman who crossed Italy during the years when the enterprises were still reserved for men, with a temperament of which today they are soaked the most important selection of Chardonnay and Negroamaro from the Guagnano company. The harvest takes place in late September. After crushing, the must remains in contact with the skins to macerate for 15 days. The fermentation temperature is 26 ° C. After malolactic fermentation, the wine rests in French oak barrels for about 12 months.
Characterized by an intense ruby red colour varied with soft black cherry hues. The fragrance of fruit and red flowers forewarn the evolution of smell specifying its full bouquet which shows shades of spices, of ethereal and light mineral. On the palate the flavor revels the typical bold and decisive expression of Negroamaro and at the same time its sensitive delicacy. Serve at a temperature of 18 ° C.
