Tela di Ragno is a wine produced by the Azienda Vinicola Mocavero starting from grapes coming from the vineyards located in the municipalities falling within the province of Lecce. The soils are of the Argilloso – Calcareo type and the vines are bred with the traditional Salento methodology of the Alberello Pugliese. The grapes are harvested by hand in the third decade of September for the Cabernet, and towards the beginning of October for the Aglianico grapes. The harvest is carried out by hand followed by a selection of the best bunches and only then is the vinification in red with temperature control. The maceration lasts for all the alcoholic fermentation, after which the wine is separated from the marc. After pressing, the wine is aged in barriques and new tuna for 12 months, periodically running the batonagge and then continues to refine for at least 6 months in bottle.
Tela di Ragno has an intense red color with violet reflections, an intense, persistent, spicy and well-balanced aroma, a warm taste that is rightly tannic, persistent and harmonious. It is an elegant and precious wine, to drink for special occasions. A wine that represents all the strength of the earth and the sun of Salento wisely dosed in a balanced structure, soft but which retains a strong personality.
