Il Primitivo of Tenuta Emera is produced from 100% Primitivo grapes obtained from vineyards: cultivated with cordon sprinkled within the Tenute Emera farm, between the marine of Lizzano and Pulsano. The vines are cultivated on a medium soil mixture with silica, clay and sand and abundant skeleton (stones, pebbles and gravel). The yield per hectare is 90 q.
The harvest takes place in the first decade of September with mechanically harvested grapes followed by vinification with the grapes that are macerated and fermented in concrete tanks for about 15 days. The extraction of color and polyphenolic and aromatic components is favored by daily replacements of the liquid fraction on the straw hat. At the end of the vinification, a period of aging of 8-10 months follows, with a slight passage in second / third generation barriques.
The Primitivo of Tenute Emèra is an intense red wine. Ripe red ripe aroma, spicy. Full and balanced taste with slightly persistent and soft finish.
