Nauna is a great wine obtained from Schola Sarmenti with a bland of Negroamaro and Primitivo grapes. The grapes that come from vineyards with 50/60 year old Apulian saplings, hand picked and gently placed in small airy boxes to preserve their integrity. In the cellar they are then further selected on a modern sorting table. Once the wine-making phase has been completed, the ensemble is followed by a maturation and a refinement for 9 months in French oak tonneaux, medium roasting; then, 10 months of further aging in the bottle.
Nauna knows how to offer a riot of perfumes that wrap around the nose. From the balsamic embrace are released impetuous hints of ripe fruit that slowly slip into an intense finish of chocolate and tobacco.
