Lutroc is an extraordinary wine produced by Agricola Sanchirico from nougat grapes produced in the farm land owned by Salice Salentino. The grapes were harvested manually in September and carefully selected before pressing. The must has carried out a long maceration on the skins in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature for more than 20 days, then to do mallolactic fermentation. The wine thus obtained is refined for 12 months in small barrels, then bottled and completed refining in the bottle for a further 12 months.
Lutroc comes with an intense ruby red color with slight garnet reflections. The nose emits a very intense and persistent scent, fruity with hints of ripe red fruit. In the mouth it’s fine but robust, elegant on the palate, featuring a cocoa note and tobacco.
