The Oro di Eméra is the Primitive of Manduria produced in the winery of the famous Vigneron Claudio Quarta in its Emera estate in Lizzano, in the fullness of Manduria’s DOC territory. The vineyards of Apulian tree trees aged 50 years old are cultivated on highly calcareous alluvial soil cultivated at 500-600 meters from the sea. The grapes are harvested manually in wooden boxes in the first decade of September and yields never exceed 80 l / ha.
Vinification takes place in steel at controlled temperature with peeling of skins for 25 days with frequent replenishment. Alcohol-induced fermentation with selected yeasts, spontaneous malolactic fermentation. Finally, the wine is aged in oak barrels.
Oro di Eméra is a soft, pleasant wine, soothing. Give your nose hints of ripe fruit, such as citrus and cherry, and the palate is exuberant and warm with black berry fruits and with a lasting persistent feeling of wrapping. A great wine that exalts the territory and tradition of Manduria, but with a touch of character, personality and elegance guaranteed by Claudio Quarta’s work.
