The Negroamaro F from Cantine San Marzano is a wine of great quality, produced with grapes from selected vineyards in the district of Monte La Conca, between the territory of the municipality of San Marzano and that of Francavilla Fontana. The soils are made up of the residual red earth, a fine texture and generally with limestone substrate and rocky outcrops sparse. The famous red tint of these soils derived from an intense presence of iron oxides. The thermal values characterize a rather warm, with very low annual rainfall and very high temperature ranges, a condition that has a beneficial influence on the quality of the grapes.
The grapes are harvested in the last week of September, and wine-making starts with the grapes are harvested by hand in small baskets. then follows the maceration: 18 days on 80% of the mass, 25 days on 20% (with indigenous yeasts in the vineyard of the material chosen a different type). Fermentation at a controlled temperature of 24-26 ° C.
The wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels and Caucasian, and the resulting wine is a wine that manages to keep intact the organoleptic characteristics for 7 years. Negroamaro F looks heavily loaded with red and deep purple color, rich and complex bouquet, with notes of spices, berries and cherry jam. Full-bodied wine, soft and harmonious, rich in tannins, with a pleasantly lingering finish.
